Weakening Doors

Considering that it's possible to vave inadequeate stats to both break down doors AND pick locks...

The door appears to be locked...
You bash against the door, which is not good for you, and you take 5 damage.

... might I suggest perhaps making it so a door will be weakened after enough hits, to make it more likely to be bashed open on subsequent hits? I've had multiple instances lately, both in a party and otherwise, where no one was able to get past doors on the 5th or so floor of a BDP and we were forced to abandon it. And that's dumb.

Most of the food ingredients are in dungeons, so there's no difference.

Fun fact: one of my characters is indeed a chef who primarily only goes into BDPs for ingredients and to keep an eye on his reckless/ bipolar sister. And amazingly, that character has never had issues due to their high stats for picking locks (they needed to learn to handle guns because BDPs for ingredients.) Nevermind the fact that it's hilariously OOC for that character to have any reason to carry lockpicks or learn how to pick locks, but details.

But yeah. It's freakishly unlikely to be able to completely avoid combat, professionally. You either need the funding to buy materials/ingredients off of other people, or you need to get your own materials/ingredients, and let's not forget crafting/cooking levels being capped based on your character level, and the LE Crafting skill bonuses; how many bouts of RP exp and cleaning up after beasts would it take to get to 60? Spoilers: A metric fustercluck.

My point is, levels and stats are already limiting enough without doors slapping people in the face while laughing at them. We don't need barriers that many players cannot surpass, especially if they've already been working towards a full clear for over an hour. So thank you for considering it, Dev.

p. much this. The game enforces combat/grinding more than it enforces roleplay, so anything that makes combat inconvenient (doors pls) should be worked on, since that's the apparent focus of the game.

You can't do anything without becoming an adventurer, thanks to lets dump everything ever needed into dungeon chests/drops lol with a side of only way to get mura is either spending IRL money or DUNGEONS.

That bit aside, doors really do need some kind of damage system like this, so people don't meet dead ends just because they didn't have enough STR/CEL for whatever reason. I'd also suggest for something where SKI can help curb the damage taken from failed door bashings, due to knowing/practicing how to not put themselves in danger while trying to bash a door open.

Bashing a door now reduces its lock level by 1; when it reaches 0, it opens. Keep in mind that for high level dungeons, that can mean something like lock level 6 or 7, so bashing it down will still hurt you a lot. But you might be able to bash it down to a level where you can pick it at the cost of some HP.

Consequently I've made the damage you take from bashing doors 5*lock level. Otherwise this would completely negate the point of lockpicking.

This seems fair enough. I mean, if you want to do a full BDP, odds are you have some form of recovery (Food, skills, potions, etc) to keep you going, so even though this can reduce you to 1 relatively quickly if you just bash away willy-nilly (35, then 30, then 25, per bash, etc, it adds up) characters without some kind of sustain will generally have good growths for lockpicking anyways, and no one will need to bash it completely open unless all their lockpicks are completely broken/ haven't invested in Security.
