To explain what you are seeing, I have no way of having vision of my youkai after summon storming in this awful dungeon type which I seriously hate because of this wall, if this could have some sort of way to remedy it so I'm not wasting fp trying to grind youkai that'd be great, thank you.

Would It be obvious to say that the youkai is behind the wall and when controlling youkai you would still only have a point of view where your player character is standing?

That makes no sense... and it doesen't encourage use of the class...I'm sure dev doesent want people to literally feel like "Oh all the bugs and minor nuances make this class so lame to use, let's just all be pizza hunters"
