Expand Ice works in so much that when you use it with other ice tiles only the tiles at the border will benefit from the effect. All other ice tiles will be reduced to the normal 2 rounds.

Here example:
Used Freezing Crystal Rose and Expand Ice in the first round.

So round 3 everything in the middle vanishes but the ring visible on screen stay till turn 8 (so that works.

If you use crystal rose/whatever alone, it also gets the bonus from Freeze. So just expand Ice seem to break the boost and only on all ice tiles but the ones on the border.

nope it hasn´t. It´s still the same.
Also, ice tiles don´t break when enemies walk on them.
