i been trying to get this quest done 5 times and nothing i 3 times standing in the front of the blacksmith shop one time at a side and one at back of the shop can it please be fixed

Pretty sure you need the scout talent to do this.

Did you had any talent points in Survival->Scout->Keen eyes?

I didn´t test it yet, but I think thats what you need. Or just in scout in general.

Somehow this broke at some point, but it's been fixed.

You don't need any ranks in any talent to complete it, just be at the right spot at the right time.
