I used side cut, But extended it all the way to 6(using wind badge), I then shortened it to 5 to stand near the crab, But as you can see i still went the full 6 tiles.

Furthure testing required, Test with Length adjustable skills and ice tiles.

It probably riposted you, leading you to flottement the miss, if thats what happened, all I know is soldier kraboids do infact carry riposte sometimes.

Anyway when you flottement during a sidecut, it makes you dodge 1 tile away from your attacker after the sidecut, meaning you land 1 tile away from them.
