So after testing for awhile, it seems that the hikari donation buff, which says it raises wil and fai +2 each, doesn't actually raise either of these stats at all. I tested on multiple characters, and this seems to be the case.

(You'll notice the hikari donation buff icon in the top left, and that I still have 0 faith. This is after using an inn and portaling around and everything, so my stats should be accounted for. He also has only 1 bonus wil, which comes from his wil stamp.)

From what I can tell the HP regeneration boost does seem to apply, however.

Thats because the buff applies in battle, works fine for me.

Some stat increases only apply in battle to decrease overhead when determining stats.
