It don't work.
Critting with high charge from spark drive does not grant overcharge ( the limit to spark drive should only apply to multihit guns anyway)

To clarify and break it down:
- Shooting when you have a charged shot readied will consume that charge.
- Thunder Drive will only grant you Overcharge if you are presently charged.
- You need to shoot before you can crit. The shot itself consumes the charge.
- As you cannot crit before you shoot, Spark Drive will only give you another charge.
Safety is 100% -required- to get ANY use out of thunder drive at all.

To further clarify:
Changing this would be a very, very bad idea.

Shot 1
spark drive
Shot 2 consumes charged shot
Thunder drive.
Shot 3 consumes overcharge
I shouldn't need safety

Agreed.
Using up the charge while simultaneously getting an overcharge would be both OP for the ridiculous power, and infuriating, for times you don't want to sacrifice all shell effects for awhile.

Nope.
Safety is one of the best MG skills regardless.
You are own fault.
