This is, however, a lie.

The turn order went as such

Monster
Me
Monster

I On a Leashed the first monster.

Next round occurred.

Monster #1 was immobilize immune, and never suffered under the effects of Immobilize.

It applies until your next turn. Presumably you went first in the new round, which ended the effect.
