Make gold bars easier to carry.
#1
Gold bars are heavy af, when I was trying out G6, I could kind of see why, given the random chests full of gold bars.

But on Korvara, you kill one level 60+ boss and you're suddenly carrying 30+ more weight on you, the feeling is miserable if you don't have much encumbrance or are carrying a lot on you.

If you're grinding bosses you have to constantly go boss > shop > boss > shop, and it's such a hassle that at this point when I get a gold bar, I delete it from my inventory, not to mention the people getting suddenly encumbered when you do the dark shard boss repeat fights and having to also delete their gold bars..

I've gotten to the point where i'd rather avoid doing high level bosses just so i don't have to spend a minute destroying gold bars so I can move again.

And now we're also getting recipes that use gold bars as part of the craft.

Make them stackable, or 1 weight.. Or heck give us a unique enchantment or tailoring-crafted 'bag of gold holding' item.

I think that instead of giving Gold Bars, we should just get the intended Gold Bars into bonus Murai out of it. So that'd net to something like a random number between 400 and 800 Murai.

Gold Bars should be like, 1 per boss. Mostly because Korvara doesn't have any sources of it.

There's also a fun third option. "Coin Making Machine", which converts your Gold Bars into Murai. Korvara-exclusive.

It sucks having an exclusive macro for destroying gold bars; the intended purpose is to force you to eventually go back to a pawn shop but it's just a timewaster that serves not much point. It really should either just be an item that stacks and limit to how many you can carry rather than it just being an encumbrance limit.

destroy-item gold-bar

This is the macro for destroying gold-bars as a heads up, saves a ton of time in the long run if you do boss runs.

I must be a minority in that I've always wished bars were worth more for their weight.

I personally think that korvara bosses should just drop reskinned Spatial Cores instead of gold, and that gold bars become chest loot again.

Spatial cores would be so much better.. I wish those were still a thing, even if there might need to be some kind of rebalance since we would get a lot of those.

Problem is, with how Korvara grinding works, the gold bars are essentially our main source of murai for the average player. This means the number one way to earn money is to constantly go back to the pawn shop... That sucks!

In g6 we had murai bonuses for full clearing, along with bonus xp and a core.. We need that type of bonus rewards injected into the korvara grind, even if it's in a nerfed state...

I believe that this is the point of the gold bars above the spatial cores, spatial cores came with a number of downsides when it came to encouraging people to do the content of the game such as just sitting on a stockpile of them in order to open on patch days in order to quickly collect as much equipment as possible very shortly, and since equipment doesn't commonly drop from chests like they do on G6, this could lead to a potential shortage of items across the playerbase until people decide they want to crack open their cores, I do realize that not everyone would do this, but it might ruin the fun part of major equipment patches as well.

Originally they were pretty good at getting people to stop back into town occasionally in order to occupy them more, I don't think that was ever the intention either mind you and it certainly doesn't do it quite as much anymore, but given how the continent of Korvara is structured, you should have enough inventory weight with the right talents to be able to cycle between the 40/60/80 dungeons and haul home some gold bars, and then make your way around the circuit even more still.

The environment of Korvara has fostered a different requirement for obtaining equipment than what G6 has, and I believe re-introducing spatial cores defeats the current purpose of the equipment drops. The whole continent is a donut, use that to your advantage, pawn shops are very often near the front of a town, except for Meiaquar naturally (but the bandit cave has you covered on that.)

I will however also comment that I don't think Gold Bars shouldn't be changed, they are a little too heavy atm and quite tedious to haul around, I think it'd be beneficial to either reduce the weight of them or to add a new talent in Pack Rat that lowers the total weight of heavy items (over 10 weight) by 50%, this would also be a good addition in my opinion.

What about the item "Bag of Gold", which is just a spatial core that drops only gold?
