Lingering pain
#1
"[url=http://www.neus-projects.net/viewtopic.php?p=6601#p6601 Wrote:Neus » Thu Apr 16, 2015 8:13 pm[/url]"]This should not happen anymore. I also fixed a bug where it was only lasting for 3 rounds at base level instead of 5.
Even now, Spirit Pain lasts long enough to pretty much make the fight an automatic win for the user, at least against people that rely on them.

I suggest lowering it back to 3 (or maybe 4) rounds at rank 1.

Spirit pain only affects basic attacks and as far as I know, doesn't have a 100% assured chance to work.
Tested on 1v1, opponent was gun wielding, single shot. First shot that round triggered spirit pain, second did not.

So the cost, the fact you can bypass it by everything that doesn't use basic attack (Impossible only with MG, as far as I know. But you surely have a subclass. Or multi-shot weapon. To bypass that. Right?) and that it doesn't have an assured proc chance.

I don't agree with a nerf.

Not that I care whether or not this gets nerfed, but it does have an assured proc chance. It just only affects the first attack in the round.

4 sounds fair enough, then.

I think it's fine.

I'm not quite convinced you've seen it in action as much as we have.

Spirit Pain is a dick move to use in 1v1, especially against someone like an Arbalest who.. can, and will, nearly kill themself attacking someone.

If anything, the party should attack themself for half damage, after defense is applied, to make it less ridiculous if it's going to stick to 5 rounds.

Four rounds sound good, yes.
