Quick clarification: ALL fights should be IC fights. It's our
responsibility to make characters who fit the world. It is
entirely possible to play non-combatant characters, but
then, levels and power should be meaningless to these
characters.
In any case, something like this would be an interesting
way to provide your party members with a taste of your
character's general flavour, showing a little of how they
act in situations where they're winning, or when they're
losing. How they react to being injured, etc.
Possible battle text trigger conditions:
Score a critical hit
Receive a critical hit
Drop below 50% HP
Drop below 50% FP
Riposte attacks
Stalemate parries
Defeat an enemy
Fall unconscious
Heal yourself
Heal an ally
Receive a heal from someone else
Be revived from unconsciousness by someone else
