Sorry to bump this again. It's still doing one part of the bug.
Namely it seems you can place the shades on top of you and cause the shade to overlap...so you can effectively hit 2 shades and miss the real person.
This is also effective even when you don't place a shade on top of you, where you can hit the shade, but miss the player as opposed to hitting the player entirely.
This image was a side cut through the shades placed in the above picture. Hitting the shade placed there, the shade that Quinn was replaced with, and missing the invisible Quinn.
