When I sustained a wound, my Treatment subpath was Rank 3. The wound was not automatically treated, and needed to be manually treated in the Health window by clicking on it. The dialogue box popped up telling me that treating it would take some mental stamina and a 'medical gauze,' but neither of those costs were actually deducted from me. I did not even have a 'medical gauze' at all, and my stamina remained full.
