Can we have the ability to keep our spirits through LE's, and just have any spirits that exceed our current Possession subpath rank not function until the rank is increased?

Some of us have +5 talent points from our extensions, and can very well max out Possession from Lv. 1. Why should such a character be forced to hunt the same spirits all over again?
