I went into Darkwood Manor as a Duelist (Technically Kensei, but no Kensei autohits) with Eviter to cross blades with the Haunted Armors, since their weapons are axes.

Their Eviter worked on my Crystal Rose, but not Sidecut/L'au Dela/Power Gradation. I did not eviter anything in return.

So unless mob Eviter works differently, it seems like it only works on autohits.
