Alternatively: Spirits only go into skills you already have points in (since a +1 in a skill with 0 does not give you that skill, effectively being 100% wasted.)

This way you can at least use an SP reset to make it easier to get what you need in the first place instead of wasting literal hours just trying to get that one skill you need, which would make it so that losing spirits for ANY reason wouldn't be as debilitating to recover from/
