While in WASD mode, you can see the new options for things you shouldn't be able to see such as:

Quest NPCs that are hidden.
Spirits
Doors and items set on layer 1 or below (as long as they're interactable)

You can then click on the button (Like A) Talk) to view what you're not supposed to be able to view just yet.
