This should be corrected in 2.76.
However, I had to mess around with the damage system to make it work as you'd think. Chiefly, it means that 'after all damage' effects are processed for each damaged individual, to account for things like damage redirects. So, please test this thoroughly on the testing server on 2.76 v5 before the update to make sure I didn't break anything.
