Regarding the timing, I would rather this be something that can additionally be forced to be started. Something resource-intensive, perhaps a Snakeman Lure of some sort that can be crafted by players, or spawned by GMs.

I've only had the pleasure to participate on these raids once, and I wasn't even prepared to do so in terms of build and stuff. You can guess how that went.
