Raising HP values doesn't really solve much and only serves to exacerbate the other end of the spectrum where healing is dominant. The suggestion Seven suggested is an additional point of HP per stat, not vitality. With more HP, the dominance of healers becomes more apparent with % heals and fights lasting longer so they can cycle through their CDs more per fight. Not to mention the fact that high DR gets insanely more value per point of HP than someone running dodge mcjoe.

Really, I honestly think damage and HP numbers for the most part are fine? I think all that could really stand to change is the upper end such as axes and speed solblader getting adjusted. That and the fact that evasion should have somewhat of a net to make it so they don't die from a single combo even if someone super hitstacks or evasion ignores them.

Weird thought. Every point of scaled Celerity gives a very small ammount of DR. 60 scaled equalling to like, 20% DR. BUT, it is canceled if phys or mag DR from def and res exceeds it. Sound like a good change? Or maybe even 'If phys or mag defense exceeds 15, nullify this DR.' Sound like a good step in the right direction?

The point was also brought up that heals would most likely be nerfed. No matter what changes you go to increase general survivability nerf or buff, tanks are just gonna get it better that's just how it will go unless it targets evade specifically, but... 


Evade as a whole just needs to be redone, there's no real solution to that one there. The volatile nature of it means you are going to fuck SOMEONE over no matter how its touched as its VERY good in alot, and VERY bad in others. If you were to give it a net in the same vein I'd frankly say it'd need some sort of nerf to Full evasion. For both balance and enjoyment reasons. But even then I'm not confident this would work.

I am aware that their point was precisely that; my tangent about healing and DR is mostly aimed at the proposition that it would be a simple fix when it'd require sweeping changes to work.

That said, agree with evasion. But I've personally gone on that tangent so many times. A summary of my personal thoughts would be to replace full evasion with current glancing and replace glancing with old evasion, then adjust the numbers to favor evade a little bit more.

More or less can agree with that on evade, yeah. Full evades a nightmare and makes it far more difficult to properly balance evade imho.
