Half-Broken Guard
#1
Could we have Guard Break disable Parry skills like Eviter and Stalemate for the duration?

Guard Break is kind of iffy as a status, Parry skills need a counter that isn't buttstab, and it seems a little goofy to break someone's guard only to have them block anyway.

+1 for the logic and reason, although I cry on the inside (due to this incoming, semi-nerf to Eviter).

Considering how few sources of Guard Break there are, and the drawbacks to them (Such as making the target unmarkable for several turns despite most other effects being a better use of that Claret Call, or taking up equipment slots) I'd say this sounds more than fair.

EDIT: Forgot about Light Tomahawk. But that's more of an outlier than the norm. And LT alone isn't grounds for disregarding the suggestion. (Not to mention if you have MA equipped for LT, it's easy to get past parry skills anyways.)

Libegrande is another guaranteed guard break with little setup beyond using Kraken as your enchant preference. (which most people who use ice spells will do)

Just to make sure, Guard Break only gets applied if you use a GB effect on someone who is actually guarding, right?

Pretty sure, yes.

So, in most cases of duel wield katana nerds, it's pretty much useless.

I'm more-than certain it only gets applied if an opponent uses Guard (which is why Ran and Esther's comments confused the $@#% out of me).

And while we're on-topic, I don't imagine being able to use Guard while you're afflicted with Guard Break to work well. Maybe at half-effectiveness or some such (at the risk of them breaking your Guard again, to either power-up the effect/duration or to completely remove the option the to Guard after second go-around - more as a, "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice and shame on me" type of thing), if it doesn't already flat-out restrict you from Guarding again while afflicted with the debuff.

What I mean is, when your opponent is guarding you can just throw Libegrande at them while enchanted with Kraken.

It doesn't require all the setup like the one Ghost skill does, it's available every single turn whenever an opponent uses Guard.
