Can Sharpen increase Scaled Weapon Attack instead of giving STR? Due to the nature of some weapons not being primary STR scaling, and diminishing returns.

Limit it to sword/spears/axes then it would be pretty good.

I'd argue fist weapons/bows/daggers would apply to that category too, but it'd probably be easier if it encompassed all.

I mean you'd also open it up to tomes/guns. 'Sharpen' doesn't really sound like it should do that.

I agree with spoops, the act of sharpening a blade to aid in its use could be expanded to dusting a page or cleaning a barrel.

Mechanically, I'm not sure how much you'd want to increase scaling by.

Also instead of using FP, I believe it should hit durability, A incredibly sharp blade becomes less durable.

I just don't really see the harm of it if its something like 5-6 scaled weapon attack at best, an excellent suggestion by Lolzy there, perhaps -2 durability per use instead of FP.

Sharpen is more a ''you focusing your power to hit your enemy with more accuracy and force' than actually sharpening your blade with Focus or whatever', same goes for literally any weapon and as stated by Spoops up there. It's just +5 Scaled Weapon Attack. The OP sounds fine enough, if not needing a buff to a maximum of +10 SWA, really.

This way it can benefit basic hits and autohits.

See I'd be fine if it added a flat +5

But if its percent of the weapons actual SWA already I'd want 10

% of % is ugly and you usually have to upscale numbers.

Keep in mind it also gives Fire ATK at the moment (AFAIK) so this change could be undesired.

But if it gets changed, it might benefit in 'general' (Not just STR users or/and Fire ATK), for being straightly related to Scaled Weapon Attack.
