Real Talk Level Cap Raise
#11
All he has to do is add to the story and once you complete the new story section, through deus ex machina, you get a level cap raise. Also at the new level cap or above you get the option to fight Pink The Dark Bard.

what would level cap being higher be for through

nothing

more grind
larger gap between dungeons

...????

can anyone actualy name one good reason for it to happen

i dont imagine going beyond 60 would be any different than going beyond fifty, ie anyone can and everyone will go for it, because past updates show that any sort of gaps between people based on chance%, planning etcetera in terms of power are heavily undesirable by the developer

(but boy would it be nice if some characters had means of triggering event that'd bump them up above other people. Or access to unique mono-classes. mmmmm. Gal can dream. King of the Hill kinda deal. You possess powa, but become killable without the option to bullshit out of it by rule of "nobody can kill u, but urself. U die, powa passes on. Fiiinaly conflict stimulant.)

Well. Since we want to talk about players going beyond even level 60, and then there's someone who wants to talk about going beyond.

I'm going to go ahead, and talk about a MMORPG named Black Desert Online. Black Desert Online have no known caps, as of this present day. Since there is only soft-cap, after soft-cap. Nobody had realized the highest level there is, saves for tremedous amount of grind that will to come. There, already existed players over in the game's founding country Korea, that reached level 64 after nearly years of grinding.

The soft-cap beings, currently, at 56. So you starts to try, and walk through all that mud. Trying to get to level 60, where remainder of the skills are left. So you can utilize them. The issue is, it's very grindy. So it'll take tremendous amount of fighting, farming, and even combating. It takes around a year, and a half of constant to go from level 56 to 62. Then it will take a year to get to 63, and already will it take two years to get to 64.

The grind is large, and it's not very brief slope. It's expanding, dangerously tall mountain that pierces even beyond the time, and fabric.

Hell, someone sent an email to GM asking how many generations they had to do just to get to 'assumed' level cap. They said, generations after generations. Meaning that it'll take hundred of years to get to level hundred at that point.

It's needless 'for now', in my opinion.

I can't tell if Skully wants to support the idea or shun it as one of the dbz-rip esque permagrinds on byond.

Your post seemed completely devoted a game whose grind was completely different from SL2's. For all the extremely poor essays I used to interpret and grade, even I couldn't find the 'i'm neutral' in it.

Aaand I got burned.

there was a point in all that. I guess I'll clarify.
If people wanted to increase level cap raise. At least the level curve should become extremely high, to point that it would take prolonged period of time to even try, and achieve next level. At least this'll give people realizations that they'll not achieve level 70, 80, or 90 within few hours of good-fashioned Colossal tower grind.

This is exactly what I've meant when I've taken off from Black Desert Online. Intentionally, they have used a scale where players have no level cap, and they can keep grinding to gain experience. Even if they've passed the 'desginated' level cap. But the progress will noticeably starts to get slower, and slower. To this goalpost, that it would take months, after months to even get next level. And when developers felt comfortable in moving up soft-cap level because they have new contents to support higher-level characters. They will do so.

I apologize for really bad post. This is what I get for trying to play Lord of the Ring: War in the North and typing at same time.

It'll probably happen at some point, but I have other things I'd like to accomplish before that, namely the trait rework.
