How do Verglas cast their skills that freeze the battlefield, etc. Why isn't this a form of magic and is instead classified as a skill? Also, how do poison effects work on Liches since they don't have bodies? Does it just corrode away at the material that they're using to maintain a physical form?

Are the Spell Engines < Like with the excel weapons > capable of powering a vehicle/ usable for transit purposes? Has Karaten even attempted this?
If yes to either, are they about as draining as powering an Excel Weapon 1/turn? How would one, exactly, power it. Would they wear a 'spell plug' of sorts to force it into the engine from their seat?

Are there/were there higher existences that are considered to be something like seraphs to the gods? Or are there just lower ranking gods, or is every god independent?
If they did exist, what would be a hierarchy, and what gods would have them?
Would this be documented?
11 years of roleplay and would you believe I still have no idea what I'm doing

How long after a Vampire's 'death' do they generally turn into mist?
For example, would one be able to resuscitate them before they floated away?
Are Lazarus/Reapers actually something that's known about, and if so, what else is publicly known?
Edit: While we're at it, how strong are they? Just curious.

You can refer to them as things like that.

Also, for languages, Russian would be considered akin to Alstalsia (which is already German and Italian) or Kysei?
The Underworld is a place where souls go when they die. Some souls. Sometimes. Or so they say. It's not like anyone's proven it.
Probably more Kysei.

How much is known about hell itself.
Are any other gods from Heaven's Contention other than Zera demons? If so, which of the main selectable races had them as their gods?
Is it possible to open portals to hell?
Is it possible to summon Demons like yokai?
The fact that it is a place is public knowledge, but common folk probably don't know much about it.
What's that?
Yes. The races that had them and know about them are all mentioned in the race lore.
What's that?
What are those?

Are there any rituals that we can contact the dead with? (Not the specific steps to doing so, but do they exist?)
Yes, it is possible. Ask the Geistritter.
It's difficult and ventures into necromancy, which is a big no-no. But it is possible.

Hugeossa = Dark
Mercala = Light
Nerif = Fire
??? = Nature ( Lightning )
??? = Syplhid
??? = Aquarian
??? = Isespian
??? = Knowledge
That one guy everyone seems to forget about who was made of water is probably a good fit for the Aquarian domain. Isesip was an earthen god, and a lot of people say he died somewhere on Kysei. Or is Kysei.

Or only some times of the day, such as at night-early morning?
Ask Chaos, but considering a lot of merchants and travellers come through that forest to get to the city, there's probably some people checking up on it every so often.

Since Vampires can regenerate virtually everything upon one of their 'deaths', does that mean that, as an example, if a Vampire donates an organ (any organ, really), will that regenerate upon reconstituting? If so, will the regenerated organ just be wrested from the donatee's body, or will said organ just stop function? In fact, is the latter even possible, and do Vampire organs even work similarly to those of the Living?
Any lost body parts turn into mist when the vampire dies and go to where they reform. Vampire organs don't really work as donation material either.

They always have a human-like body.

Do Doriad's have a "Tree walking" ability where they enter one tree and pop out at another within distance?
They can sorta tree walk, as in they can enter/exit trees, but it's not teleporting from tree to tree. They can only really do it in their birth forest too.

I could see them maybe talking to the trees, but something like that is on the level of racial combat abilities and I don't think they can do that.
OK, onto the questions.
Is it possible for someone to curse the living with Cladis Mortem Null?
What exactly does the curse do, where is it from?
What it it's relation to huguessa and hell?
Mortals do not hold any sway over Cladis Mortem Null.
It's a divine gift, just like a lot of races.
What's that?

This violates my 'don't ask overly specific questions' rule, as much as I'd like to answer it. Some have been mentioned recently in the lore blurbs, however.

Silent Spirit and Spirit Pain (Or whatever it's called, the invoc.) are both abilities that involve making people do things against their control.
Just what are the limitations on using this to make people do things other than shoot/punch themselves or you? Just that's pretty bad, but...I want clarification so people don't run around making puppets out of people.
And are there ways to ward off possession?
Hexers don't have the ability to possess people. They lure and empower spirits to possess others. What the spirit does to you is on it, and it's nothing the Hexer has any say in, though usually spirits of the dead that the Hexer can stir up are those that hate the living, and so involves doing something that hurts living things. But it's hardly what I'd call POSSESSION possession.
Actual possession is more on the level of Manes/Remnants, who can actually take control of their host, rather than influence their body temporarily.
Warding off possession can be done with high Faith or Resistance, and the roleplaying qualities that are usually exhibited by people with those stats, such as acute mental fortitude or divine protection.
""]How does Karaten view the Hexers? Is it similar to how they view Liches and the like?
(And I don't know if this has already been asked but-) What is it like actually using skills like 'Hanging', and 'Castling'? Or even 'Crescent Rook'? Do you in a sense 'ride the black wind' as it takes you to your destination? Is it like Blinking (or Repositioning respectively) just with an attack or adding defensive ability for yourself and an ally?
Hexers, from a magic standpoint, are rather fascinating to Karaten. Karaten as a whole views spirits as an interesting entity with a multitude of potential purposes, and being able to control them is an avenue they are constantly attempting to make headway into, which is why Karaten has an entire department dedicated to supernatural activities, as well as employing people with that potential, ala Summoners.
However, Hexers are often using their magic to actively harm others, and usually only that. So in that regard, Karaten is very disapproving, because it's simplistic and hurts the view of magic to the world at large.
You can interpret it however you like; it can literally be a black wind that obscures you as you appear next to your opponent. The wind can pick up and blow into your opponents eyes, forcing them to shut them, as you make your attack.
""]So, about Hexers. Are they considered as necromancers of some sort? And how do Karaten view them? What kind of spirits do they summon when they use their spells?
Still on the topic of Hexers; What enabled them to turn into Spectre Knights? Are they even still normal living beings? Oh and, what is this 'Enma's Summons'? Who is Enma?
They're the borderline between necromancy and not necromancy. Technically, all they're doing is stirring the hornet's nest of spirits who still roam the world. Necromancy is actively pulling something dead back into the realm of the living, and it also covers reanimation of formerly living material. See above for how Karaten feels about them.
Spectre Knights is a kind of possession-enchant mixture. Enma is the lord of the dead, and is mentioned elsewhere (a certain alchemy ingredient).

It's similar to magic but rather than requiring a domain of power (like magic), it is drawn from the user's own spiritual force (like ki); the same can be said of most 'magical' Martial Artist talents.
Yes, that is more or less how it works against liches. Poison doesn't necessarily mean venom, although it can and usually does.

Every god is independent, pretty much. Some are stronger than others, some are weaker than others, some are unknown. But they're all godly in their own way.

Pretty much immediately after they die. There might be a small delay, but it wouldn't be very long.
I answered this about Lazarus above. As for Reapers, they are technically known, but they are often confused with Zerans because they both have horns (even if the horns look way different), and when they're not in Lazarus, it's usually because they're fetching a soul that got loose, or helping someone bring an earthbound soul into Lazarus.
They're probably about as strong as anyone else (hint hint).
