Been playing every SMT game I own lately. So, and idea for maybe now, or a future Summoner class, to make youkai fuse. The three wyrms could fuse into a Sugaar/Hydra like dragon, the three Fairies could become a Fairy Queen like thing. Other random fusions that I can't think of right now could be possible. Maybe not a fusion for every possible combination, but those are some of the more obvious ones. Maybe even making it so that only like races (Mystic with Mystic, Plant with Plant, etc) could be possible. Youkai to be used in fusions must be at least level 20, and perhaps an item requirement of some kind could be made, to bind them together or some other nonsense. Kinda like how Firefox and Legumes need items to be contracted.

Youkai fused in this manner would still only have the minimum of three abilities, and start at level 1 again. With the wyrm fusion, the new creature could have and ability to halve Acid/Ice/Fire damage, instead of direct nullification, and if it became a hydra like creature, could perhaps have a Trio Beam that splits damage between Acid/Ice/Fire, and leaves behind a Cinder/Ice/Cinder/Ice pattern tile, and reduces DEF by whatever the formula for the Acid wyrm is right now. It could be done at a special summoner door, perhaps in Karaten if/when that gets added, as I could see them as the ones being interested in experimenting with such actions.

I wouldn't want it to be too linear or forced to use a certain combination for a specific youkai. But yeah I support this.

For example, using different youkai with different growths to get a new(random maybe) one with added base base stats + a growth bonus depending on the level of fused youkai.

Yeah, I was thinking the basis would be 2 youkai fusion, with 'special' ones being like the two I mentioned, since there are those two obvious trios.

This would be better off as a feature that anyone can earn instead of trying to restrict it to a very certain class.

That's why I said "for now or future class", because I don't know if Dev would need another Summoner promo idea, or just wanna do it alone. I would prefer it for all, though. And it's still restricted - TO SUMMONERS. BWAHAHA.

Have some special tier youkai that need several lesser youkai to be [strike]sacrificed[/strike] fused to summon.

In all seriousness though, this sounds neat. But hopefully youkai can only be fused once or twice; as going over three times will just be. . .an overkill. I mean, summoners CAN install, you know?
