If you try to cast Explosion on dense terrain like this:

it will not appear. The skill will be used, but no explosion rune will appear.
This has happened to me so many times...

This applies to pretty much everything - sanctuary, runes, whatever leaves tiles or field objects don't appear on dense tiles anymore.

This is not a bug, but I've changed it so you can't cast it on a dense tile, for clarity purposes.
v2.62c Casting Explosion on Dense terrain makes it not appear
