Im not actually sure if this is a bug or not, but firthrower DOES work with twin strike, but ONLY if one enemy gets hit, meaning its actually unbenificial to try and get people in its aoe due to not getting the crit momentum from the second shot.

For the Record. Jackhammer can also be twin shot. IF only one enemy gets hit.

I believe it is intentional, where AoE attacks that are actively AoE'ing do not benefit from twin dance. Otherwise they are fine.

if only the second aoe hit also gave one momentum if twin strike was equipped, otherwise its encouraged to only hit one enemy with the aoe weapon, which is confusing design wise

Crash potions also work the same way, when twin dancing daggers or what else.

The way the game tags your attack as AoE isn't if it has a big attack area but if more than one enemy is being hit by the attack, so it's probably fine as is.
