Normalize Hyattr's Racials

Hyattr's a race full of quirks, but at points they don't connect to each other well. There's a lot of 'old-stuff-that-is-overlayed-by-new-stuff' to the point the numbers and scalings are everywhere on the board. It's not very intuitive, and I feel like it could be made simpler, similar to Salamandra. Cutting off the whole 'Character LV' stuff is a good first step.

Besides. This skill has an -insane- FP cost for no reason. And the wind-up often takes a whole round by inhaling both Dragon Energy types. So...  9M total to fully use a Fire Breath. I'd rather the base skill be able to be used by itself without needing to wind it up.

Therefore, we'll go from:

50 FP / 3M
Area: Line (5)

By utilizing massive amounts of focus, the Hyattr race is capable of launching a line of fire as if they were exhaling. Deals Fire magic damage to all enemies in a line equal to half your Character Level + Scaled SAN.

Its effects can change if you have Magic Energy or Destruction Energy stored. If you have Airborne status, you will also move the length of the line, but this requires the last square in the line to be unoccupied.

This, to that, included all adjustments to things that interact with it:

PS: The animation for Fire Breath should be faster. At the very least, slightly faster than how it is right now.

The scaling you proposed is kinda weird, makes it not that worth it to get SAN for it even though that's supposed to be the entire point. Imo the SAN should be a significant part of the base damage.

I thought that SWA + Fire ATK + SAN would be too much, that's why.

Well, the current one, with all the traits, makes destructive energy give you that fire scaling. You could make the base fire breath simply SWA + SAN. Then make the traits give you the 100% fire atk scaling from destructive energy. Then to make it actually worth using, I think both types of energy should give a damage boost to the fire breath, something like 25% more total damage per energy. That would make the 9 momentum actually worthwhile. Not to mention you have to position yourself for it.

Alternatively, maybe don't make fire breath that strong (but still good) and give hyattrs some other racial(s) so they can actually do stuff as a race besides breathing fire

The latter will probably not happen given what races should be like, the spirit of this thread is to make Fire Breath hold a lick to Salamandra Flame by itself.

As in. 3M for (X), rather than 9M for (Slightly Better X).

Salamandra Flame has better targeting, better base damage, better effects, ridiculously small FP costs and synergy with the race's traits.

Fire Breath is a line shot that goes only 5 range, does nothing but fire damage based on a very quacky scaling that uses no Fire ATK or SWA, costs as much FP as an invocation, and NEEDS the traits (and a prayer!) to be any reasonably good.
