Redundant mutation

could we have weapons that are mutated that are of the same * level as their weapon type for mutation count as +1-1 rarity for mutating.

odds +1
evens -1

example 1, mutated 1* dagger currently becomes a dagger, it would now count as 1*+1 so a fist
example 2 mutated 8*gun currently becomes a gun, now counts as a 8*-1 and becomes a Bow.

Anything opening new options is a good idea so long as it doesn't screw with anything existing.

In other words, +1 and +1 make +2, ergo "I dig it."

this is specifically for the items that don't mutate because they are the same rarity as their mutation

Sounds complicated, but yeah. It's pretty stupid to mutate a dagger into a dagger, or a gun into a gun, so.
