  Black Spirits

Currently, while White Spirits give a nice, small boost to HP/FP and also apply a skill rank boost. This is fine. However, Black Spirits currently have a paltry '+3% to one specific race' boost. This is on-and-off in PvE and neglible in PvP, and should really be tuned to work better for both.

However, it is also important to recognize that Black Spirits are the yin to White Spirit's yang; whereas the white spirits are helpful, the black spirits are dicks. It is also important that black spirits do not give too much without having some sort of drawback for it, and it is fitting for black spirits to screw with the one they're possessing for as much as they're helping them along.

With these two points in mind, here's my idea:

Quote:Each Black Spirit will provide a (stacking) boost of +4% to all damage dealt by the user. However, each Black Spirit will come with ONE random penalty, chosen from the following list:
*All damage dealt to the user is increased by (a stacking) +4%
*-1 Rank to a non-Inate skill from the user's equipped classes (each black spirit chooses a different skill)
*Damage received from a randomly chosen element (rare elements are not chosen) will always count as a Weakness, regardless of the user's resistance to that element (each black spirit chooses a different element)

[The following is posted on various public message boards. A number of cut tabs meant to be torn off, including directions to the orphanage, are included at the bottom of each flier.]

The Hallowbrook House orphanage is happy to announce that we will be opening our doors to the in-need children of Gold, as well as those the other continents, in the very near future. To commemorate the occasion, a grand opening will be held on [Tuesday at 6 PM EST]. Refreshments and entertainment are planned, and all are welcome to attend.

Our orphanage aims to help the children who have found themselves homeless and/or in lack of parental guidance in the aftermath of the recent violence on the continent, the constant state of strife in Law's End, or any other circumstance. It is our belief all children should have adequate food and shelter, education, and guidance to ensure they grow up to become healthy, mature, productive members of society.

Any in-need children who wish residence at the orphanage, or those acting on their behalf, need only to contact us by whatever means, or arrive while the matron is in to process the legal paperwork. [Whatever means of contact is fine, whether PM, posting a reply here, or just flagging one of the orphanage staff down in-game. Discord works too: Cat15#0193]

  Can't Level Skills

I don't really have a screenshot, because nothing is happening.

I'm double-clicking on the green arrow, and nothing is changing. In addition, all the skills seem to be slightly out of sync with their position on the GUI.

You can still buy Exceptional Skill, and it'll do nothing. (or at least, it doesn't grant talent points in the new system, but I figure this is why it was antiquated.)

  White Spirit Bonuses

I think being able to go beyond the max rank of a skill with these bonuses is too overbearing, and trying to balance out which skills are 'okay' to be allowed this would be more effort than its worth, in my opinion, so, I think something simpler like perhaps a small stat bonus would be more balanced (albeit less interesting). If we want to keep with the theme of 'SP bonus to classes', well, we could just have them award an extra SP to the class in question rather then a rank to a stat.

Superiority's reduction to Will and Strength does not seem to work, or if it does, does not seem to be visible on Monsters when grinding through PvE. This might also effect the Hit chance. But that is hard to test. However no matter what direction I face my enemies, no matter what range they are at, their strength and Will does not seem to visible be reduced by the racial for Zerans.

  On-hit status levels

So, as we're all probably aware, there are items that can apply a status effect (Gae Baed, Level 10 cursed wounds on hit, Aberration Spear, Level 15 poison on hit). These values are weak even at level 1 and just stop being at all relevant beyond that point. Can these scale on something? Like a percentage of damage dealt by the weapon? Or even a portion or all of user level?

  Deleting quest items

Can you make it possible to delete the quest items that aren't essential. Ex: bandit pacifier, jammer pacifier, Argent poison thing.

Not only do they take up needless space (Does anyone even use these), argent poison gets rid of pacifist. Please a fix of some kind if not being about to delete them?

16 of the 33 items (that I can tell) are accessories
10 of them are the new items from the bai kai god shrine.

can we make them 6 star instead, because thats honestly what they should be since everyone can already get a free one at the shrine
