That would make some sense, however the AoE effects 'explode' from the origin of the person who shot the gun. If you reflect a sonic shell at 5 tiles away, the damage will not apply to the kensei because the 4 tile range of the shell's overcharge effect does not reach them from the gunner's location. This feels strange, to say the least -- it's essentially saying the explosion was reflected, but said explosion is harmless to everyone who isn't a foe, even though it's centered on the shooter.
Additionally, would it make any sense (or even be possible) to implement AoE damage that does not discriminate based on team? If something gets reflected and nukes the area, it would seem intuitive that it hit everyone.
