[Que] Reflect Shots versus Shell Effects
#1
How is this interaction supposed to work? If a gunner overcharges and fires a bullet at a reflecting kensei, should the shell effect still harm the kensei? Or should it also be reflected? Currently, there is no consistency. Vamp shell and Celsius shell will be reflected entirely, inflicting the celsius/drian debuff and ice damage on the gunner who shot them.

However, sonic shell and interference shell don't function this way. Sonic shell will inflict hesitation on the gunner, but the sound damage AoE will only hurt and knockdown the Kensei. If the Kensei is far enough away from the gunner that the AoE sound damage doesn't reach them, the sound damage simply does not happen. Likewise, Interference shell will cause interference on the Kensei, and never the Gunner.

What's supposed to happen here?

Bumping this for knowledge.

I personally feel that shell effects shouldn't be reflected across the board. but consistency would be nice either way, yeah.

General rule of thumb is that single target effects probably get reflected, but AoE effects will explode on the original target and affect enemies. If you look at it that way it's probably pretty consistent.

That would make some sense, however the AoE effects 'explode' from the origin of the person who shot the gun. If you reflect a sonic shell at 5 tiles away, the damage will not apply to the kensei because the 4 tile range of the shell's overcharge effect does not reach them from the gunner's location. This feels strange, to say the least -- it's essentially saying the explosion was reflected, but said explosion is harmless to everyone who isn't a foe, even though it's centered on the shooter.

Additionally, would it make any sense (or even be possible) to implement AoE damage that does not discriminate based on team? If something gets reflected and nukes the area, it would seem intuitive that it hit everyone.
