I mean. 1m movement that requires set up (and constantly degrades if the verglas isn't doing upkeep) is kind of okay.
Cranehop was bad simply because it was better than moving around, had a huge range, and made you airborne.
This moves you to the END of the line on your ice sheets, meaning you don't stop until there isn't a tile. I'd be fine with it at 1m as a test. If it proves to be OP, 2m.

As another note, no one complains about one momentum movement when it involves Voidgate (Which requires about as much set up, if not less, and requires substantially less upkeep compared to ice skate).
So yeah, I'm actually completely fine with it, considering you can't stop at will and it has its own negatives.
