TL;DR. Cut-ins for dramatic effect aren't the issue. Memes are because they spoil roleplay when used poorly and considering all I've seen, I've no reason to believe people will use them otherwise. If you're genuine about wanting to use them for dramatic effect then you shouldn't have an issue using a different style of one.

Then Persona 5 cut-ins are the issue, but not the concept of having one cut-in for responsible usage. Did I get this right? So, if I do like Spoops said and just remove the kanji from it because I like the way it looks like a paper page tearing off, will it be acceptable?

Overall, the only times I ever had a 'real' use for those were in battles. And rarely if ever used them in any kind of normal RP scenario where they're not applicable. (Assuming my Trash RP moments aren't counting as 'normal'.)

I still have a feeling if I start using something different, people will want to copy me.
