+1. I'm surprised this hasn't gotten traction yet.
Basic attacks are fun. Basic attack skills, provided they're usable? Even more fun. That's kinda why certain classes shine in popularity. Giving Geldo old shukuchi range, or even just range in general, wouldn't cause much harm to the meta but would make for cool combo moments more often.
