Sturm levels also increase basic attack damage, I believe. I don't think it's a great idea to be able to sub Boxer for a big damage boost to basic attacks.

It doesn't. Strum only affects Boxer's skills in terms of additional damage.

Right you are. I still have reservations about being able to sit on your GS level since that's one of the drawbacks of Boxer but I guess we can give it a try and see what happens.
