I'm not having this issue myself.

EDIT: To elaborate, I just placed a barrel in my house, double clicked it, and could store/retireve loaves of bread and rings.

It doesn't work for me at all. Armoire, dressers, barrels, crates. Nothing allows for any items to be put in. To elaborate on that, I open up one, that was placed before the 'fix' for a certain few bugs, and I try to drag an item over. It doesn't work at all.
