Destiny = Always a Main Class
#1
Could Destiny allow you to use your main class and subclass's "main class only" skills and passives as if both were main classed?

It would offer an extra 'oomph' on some certain gimmicks, since you're only ever limited to 3 classes anyway. The possibilities of this being broken are very minimal, and at least it will give Destiny a new face.

Christ, reading that list only makes me believe even then it wouldn't make Destiny any comparably stronger, just a little more effective.

Well, a welcome change, regardless. One without a lot of problems.

The main thing this would accomplish is make ghost/firebird and BK/tactician spicy, which well, I'm all for. I think every promo should have at least one main class only perk

Hella cool.

It's a "small buff" but it opens up more options, and that's pretty great.

Do it...

I think it's a good step in the right direction to making Destiny a bit more worthwhile.

This thread also does a lot to highlight how some promotional classes literally have nothing to warrant being main-classed, relying solely on how much their base class is worth being mained to determine if the promo should be.

Though I don't wanna de-rail this thread going on a tangent about how good some promos have it main-class wise, just think it's worth considering at the very least giving something to each promo to incentivize main-classing it if Destiny is going to start conferring the benefits of both, otherwise this change only really benefits the classes Birdbrain outlined as having more than one promo that even has main-class exclusives.

Definitely a good idea if only to future proof Destiny for any such additional main class bonuses, but worth keeping in mind how imbalanced it currently is, which might warrant a thread of its own at some point when there aren't more pressing issues at hand.

Yeah, though all of the classes without a 'Main Class' gimmick are likely to receive something anyway, I don't worry much. (Arbalest does need rework, Kensei needs a 'big burst shot' move, etc.)

Just hope this idea is heard or at least considered.

As someone who plays an engineer/spellthief, yeah, I hope destiny gets buffed in other ways as well. How about destiny giving the stats of both classes too?
