Sand Shark attacks Butterfly Illusion with Sandfang and hits them!
Butterfly Illusion takes 80 Pierce damage.
Sand Shark was inflicted with Poison!
Sand Shark was inflicted with Charm!
Sand Shark's turn.
Sand Shark dives into the ground!
Sand Shark's turn.
Sand Shark attacks Elizabeth Viatolé with Sandfang and misses them!
--- ROUND 8 ---
The Sand Shark afflicted with Charm still attempted to attack me, even though it was charmed by my butterfly. I think that if a butterfly illusion inflicts charm on an enemy, they are charmed towards the butterfly only. If that's so, that status effect won't do much good at all when inflicted by the butterflies.

I noticed the same thing when I evoke Wawa's black rose. Even though ~I'm~ the caster,
monsters still try to attack me, and sometimes succeed and deal damage. If Wawa herself
is summoned to use it, it does the same thing. I'm convinced that charm just doesn't work
in PvE.

It seems to work fine for ENEMIES; I got charmed by that damn forest boss earlier and had a hell of a time.
But for players, yeah, your charm gets ignored.

Did the enemy start its turn next to you? I think it might be something akin to the 'stealth' issue where enemies still attack you if you're within range of their melee, OR ranged skills. That might be the case here.

Uh, what stealth "issue"? If you read the skill decription that thing made perfect sense to me.

The 'issue' where if you're stealthed, but they have any ranged attack that you're within range of < Space Ray, for instance > they'll blast you with it, then walk RIGHT past you to someone who isn't stealthed, or refuse to actually move.

Dev confirmed: Working as intended. Not an issue. Plain logic. A ranged attack is still their attack range.

Ah. I just found it silly that they smack you, then walk right past you as if you hadn't existed.

The butterflies should be applying status effects 'as you' just fine. As for Wawa, obviously she's using it herself when she's summoned, so she's going to apply the Charm, not you.
In this particular case there's not enough info, but I made an adjustment that might correct the issue, so recheck in the next version.

That doesn't explain why Black Rose's charm still doesn't work
when used as an evoke skill. In this case, the summoner is the
'caster,' not Wawa, as she's not even on the field at the moment.
