Let it be known to all!!!

Here's one I made. Don't use the gif as the image, use the dmi, as the gif has a background color built-in.

Something like an ... with a white outline might do the trick rather than a speech bubble.

I still say that Whisper shouldn't have anything attached to it.

You can see people whispering because it's a body gesture, unless they're clenching their teeth and mouth to speak, though that's tiresome and things could become very indecipherable. Even then, your lips will still move due to certain syllables.

Why can't it be an orb? Although Sawrock's little bubble could work too.

I'm not much of a programming guru, but wouldn't it only get triggered when you just type in say command to open the command box? Or will it register even if you're writing in the command line.

Also, I don't..really think this is much of a necesary feature.. Because the difference between SL and Eternia is that in Eternia you are forced to type out lenghty RPs with almost no actual content, while in here we've the luxury of describing only the interesting parts. Ergo the roleplays being much quicker.

It's nice to know when people are saying something or not saying something. That way you don't interrupt or end up waiting for 10+ minutes for something to happen because you imagine they're saying something, when it turns out they're waiting for you. It's really not that hard to imagine the uses for this feature.

And if the person suddenly stops replying for a few seconds, the icon -- whatever it may be -- will disappear or shift in color/shape/etc. as an indicator to the person(s) they're roleplaying with.

Oh wow didn't expect this to be so well liked. But i think the speech bubbles that sawrock shared are prefect, since I think orbs could be bad since well we would have people just saying we are ripping of eterina if we did orbs just like them...dumb people but people non the less. But love the idea of it just changing color or shape. Or we could use smiley like things, so a outline of a body for a emote, a speaking mouth gif for speaking and a different one for a shout I guess...Or the speech bubble.
