I was fighting against an arena combatant, and while I was guarding, the NPC triggered my riposte from behind using a basic attack. Somehow. It happened twice or thrice in the battle, and after that I could not trigger the bugged riposte again in the following 35-ish rounds. Managed to capture a screenshot of it, though.




I was wearing a turtle shell when it happened. Not sure if that helps.

Did you or the combatant get moved in a diagonal direction from something perhaps?

Nothing moved us, but I just tested it again, and you're kind of right with the diagonal proposition. It seems if you talk to Tarson in a diagonal angle before you start the battle, then you can trigger riposte from behind because they're not technically behind you. So, yeah that was the issue. Not sure if it's a bug at that point, then.
