Can Piercing blade make swords do pierce damage? Having access to this would make RPing Rapiers a lot easier to justify, I know there's Special Attack for swords but that won't apply to all of the hits.

I'm getting flashbacks to when I tried to rp a rapier with a char but i couldn't stab them. I'd enjoy this too.

I, personally, believe making it so Piercing Blade actually turns your damage into Pierce would offer more variety. But if that is too difficult to implement or something along the line, then adding an actual rapier works too.

Either way works for me, in my opinion, I've had issue finding a rapier type weapon for ages, outside of just mutating a dagger into a sword, but an authentic rapier would be amazing.

Piercing blade doing piercing damage was also just a suggestion to sort of give variety to sword weapons too, either way here works for me.

I think there already some weapon parts that change damage type so my concern is if there would be any balance concerns that would arise from it.

nothing specifically resists piercing more than on slashing on the player side

I don't think much balance is at stake here, but if that's a concern, they could be made into seperate weapon parts that don't give stats (Similar to standard blade), or a downside, like hellhound bullet's -5 Critical
