When doing a damage comparison I noticed that despite claiming to do so the skill Counter Edge adds no additional damage to Hidden Cut but does add to the damage of Riposte.

I checked both Ripsote and Hidden Cut on the Prinny debug to be sure and the damage remained the same for hidden cut with Counter Edge equipped or unequipped though Riposte was stronger while it was equipped it wasn't getting the full damage from it with +25 at rank 5.

Counter Edge boosts the damage of Sheath Sword's counter attack, not Hidden Cut. Riposte also suffers a damage penalty so that's probably why you aren't seeing a straight increase in damage.
