Can we use Alga Plumes to escape from Dormeho when it's under attack? Having an ambush happen while you're there as a lowbie who can't fight very well kind of sucks, and it can be very difficult to actually make it out alive under those circumstances.

Sounds like the guards better step up their game.
But, although I disagree with the initial suggestion, maybe instead there could be a safe haven building in each town (since raids will be extending to others later from what I heard) for people like that or people who RPly aren't combat focused to go seek shelter in during attacks? It doesn't drive people away from the town and exactly kill their RP during attacks that way. If anything it kind of opens up a bit more roleplay in the sense of "Oh shit I need to hide otherwise I'll be killed" for anyone who's too weak / not combat focused to play off of.

At the very least a 5 minute warning to anyone in the town may be in order. "Black Beasts have been spotted approaching Dormeho!" This would give anyone there who wasn't looking for a fight (in an area that newer players may reasonably expect to be a safe zone, mind you) the chance to scram before they get overrun or trapped.

I cannot say I've tested this, but given the monsters scale with level, doesn't that solve the problem?

They do scale with level, but 'unprepared' players can be swarmed by 3 monsters when 1 jammer at level 1 can prove... fatal. Especially considering they can roar and gain a bit of extra STR. The only defense is actual defense.

This is all true. I've had characters nearly die in the tutorial battle. It's possible, and if this does extent to new areas, I'd hate to be a new player fresh out of the tutorial with no equipment and just walks into Cellsvich, then five seconds later; WILD BLACK BEASTS ARE ATTACKING CELLSVICH!
Since raids right now are pretty random (aka, you not paying attention to when the last one was and there's no warning message prior to their appearance) you could've just logged in and walk straight into a raid, or been RPing and a raid happens. So it's pretty inconvenient for unexpecting people.

Also, a small battle icon over Dormeho on the world map when it's under attack would be wonderful. That way even if you log in after the attack starts, you'll know before walking in and potentially being surprise-attacked by a pack of black beasts.
