While trying to find a place I could get a house, I found several that were completely empty nothing changed. I eventually found a few open in Chaturanga but still.
Anyway we can get an empty house wipe//housewipe?

Uh, this has been an issue for a while and a wipe of all houses including empty ones may or may not peeve some people. Although I'd like it if there was at least a small system for those who haven't been on for months.

I'd rather not have a "wipe all houses, empty or not" seeing as some people need certain houses in certain places; and it's a system of, "first to gnab it gets it". That's not exactly fair for those who are actually using the houses.
My suggestion might be to expand Tannis just a little more, or maybe add an extra section of houses to Oniga / Chaturanga. Along with Chaos going about and collecting data on what houses need be wiped like he used to do. (Or I can jump on that myself later when I get my car fixed and I'm at home.)

Having a system implemented, like in another BYOND game called D&W. The owner of the house doesn't go into their abode for an OOC month, their house is automatically sold and is up for grabs by literally anyone. < Though over there, you lost all the items if they weren't locked to your character via engraving >

My only problem with that is if someone comes up for someone and they can be on for that long (like when I went to OSUT for 5 months, and any military players might go on deployment); maybe a little longer than a month seems fine, but even then, I know how it feels to not want the spot I had for my house taken from me.

Then have a friend log into your account. Sure, it invades your privacy a bit, but that's about the best you can do at that point. BYOND now has a web-client so you can log into the game from < probably > smart-devices.

Yeah see, people don't need to log into my admin account and have access to it. That's not a smart thing anyone should allow.

Chaos was keeping a list of unoccupied houses that were getting cleared every so often. Not sure what happened to that. I just assumed they were getting used.

A more basic idea could be a 'House Wipe' thread. Assuming most of the grievances involve being offline, announce a reasonable date and time for one ahead of time (say a week).
