Can the non-tome custom-text books just have no weight...
I want to be book man... but I can't hold so many books.... because they have weight...

(I would also take just a nerf to book's weight...)

I remember that I made that suggestion before as well.

I was told it had something to do with dev wanting to limit Inventory load as much as possible, or something along those lines. Meaning the weight is there so we won't just have 50 books on us that adds to server load.

But ye, I feel ya.

I mean, I could also work with a donation item that allows me to access the items in my bank at any given time, but I thought this'd be easier.
With no player housing in Korvara this basically means that I can't just plop down some containers, and I'd basically either need to make non-item books by just linking Google Docs or similar, which isn't really conductive to RP, or hold every single book in my inventory at all times...
