Razing Salamander / Kraken's Sigh

These weapons are cool in theory, however, they are useless as main weapons. If you attack with the bow, there is a % chance your attack will be entirely negated and replaced with a projectile that deals less damage. No on-hit effects proc, no crit, etc.

I think the proc should be an addition to the attack instead of replacing it

What if the attack becomes an AoE basic hit that targets like Jackhammer does?

Or each bow gets a "grants skill" of the projectile with good scaling

Considering the recent changes, I think this should be re-looked at.

They're still completely unusable which is sad. Can we make it not unusable?

Polk's idea is a good one.

It certainly has been like that for a whole while, proccing an effect shouldn't give you a "damm it!" feeling. But for reasons that Polk has stated, its usually better to have a basic effect free attack with that weapon.

so +1 for a change of it

The projectile should just be made to be able to crit.
Now that Dev has made that a thing with Hisen's potential and ranger's twin shot, we know its possible.
The only reason the damage is worse, is due to its inability to crit. The element might also not be the best, but that's whatever, really. It'd at least make the weapon usable.

One of the main reasons is, because you lose the momentum game that you usually have with it, as as a basic attack archer you pretty much want the bonus momentum usually. Of course not all ranger run Fleur, but it is a pretty good thing to run with it.

So personally prefer it being some bonus damage instead, just so it won't interfere with momentum risk-reward management.
