The new icon axis options options do not save with outfits.

The x and y locations of the icons that have their x&y axis locations changed does not save, seems like a bug.

  SL2 Version 1.11
Posted by: Neus - 01-21-2015, 09:19 AM - Forum: Announcements - Replies (2)

[float=left][Image: talkav_128.png][/float]Here we go; 1.11! This is sort of a hodgepodge of random features that people have wanted at some point or another. There's even a feature which no one asked for but definitely wanted. Bug fixes, too! Which are very important, I am told. I've also been working on improving dungeon generation, but I have a bit more I want to do before I push that out. My efforts have been focusing on making the Castle theme more interesting first, because it stands out as the least interesting of the bunch, and I had a lot of ideas for it.

In the mean time, here's a preview, if you're interested!
http://i.imgur.com/Gh3r7rg.png
Compare to the current castle dungeons, and it's no contest which looks better. But more on that later.

1.11
Added - A new dungeon prefix has been added; Stylish. Stylish dungeons are unique because the battles play out differently, with the following rules:

  • The Momentum cost of all actions is reduced by 2.
  • You can only use an action once per round, even if you would have Momentum to use it again.
  • Damage taken, damage dealt, healing effects, and FP costs for skills are all halved.
Added - A new preference setting called Window Flash has been added. While on, the game (on the taskbar) will flash when you receive party, trade or battle invites, or when a GM announces something.
Added - A new feature has been added to the Furniture Adjustment panel; Layer Adjustment, which lets you modify the layer of the selected furniture item. This lets you better control how furniture near each other will appear.
Added - A new feature has been added to the Vanity Mirror; pixel offsets, which let you adjust the x/y axis for icon parts. I look forward to seeing whatever creative uses people can come up for this one.
Added - A new setting for Face-Icon Sizes has been added; Full. This setting will show face-icons in their full 96x96 glory, if you're crazy enough to do that.
Added - A new gatherable resource has been added to Ocean dungeons, which is seaweed. No prizes for guessing what you get for gathering from it.
Added - About 10(? Maybe more?) or so new lore blurbs have been added.
Adjusted - Enemies can now drop crafting materials related to what they are. For example, Mad Vines may drop alchemy ingredients; Black Beasts might drop Beast Fangs, and so on.
Adjusted - Bosses have recently buffed up, and will now gain an additional 50% to their maximum HP.
Adjusted - Tips and Lore now only take up a single line instead of using multiple lines to stand out.
Adjusted - The Preferences window can now be resized; if you're having trouble seeing all the options, stretch away.
* Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where OOC and guild chat would disappear randomly.
- Fixed a bug where you could not gain Momentum for critical hits made with the same weapon if you were dual-wielding them.
- Fixed a bug where battle meters would sometimes display their value below battlefield objects.
- Fixed a bug where Fire Breath could put you into a wall.
- Fixed a bug where the Model Exchange options for Legend Extending Mechanations were unavailable.
- Fixed a bug where the scrollbar in the Talk pane was cut off, and it wasn't displaying the proper face-icon sizes.
- Fixed a bug with build mode and party invites.
- Fixed a bug where houses would sometimes partially unload if they had multiple levels.
- Fixed some placement issues with chairs in Pink's Pub and Law's End's pub.

So, recently i got my hand on mars badge and i eager to try it on my trap (since it has elemental compatible on it)
so i tried on my gust trap, i was expecting something sear-like effect to happen when it's triggered.
the reality is.. it doesn't do anything, it's the plain ol gust trap, with "blazing" in front of it's name.
I don't know, is that suppose to be like that? or is't a bug?

  Status Effect Icons
Posted by: Ryu-Kazuki - 01-20-2015, 11:32 PM - Forum: Submissions - Replies (4)

So I went back to sprucing these up and finding some others with no icons currently because it's a little hard to tell what they are if they don't have them. (Yeah you can highlight them but it's easier when they have prettifulness.)

The boot looking one with the wing on it is so quickness has its own icon and can be told apart from preparation. (If that one doesn't work, I can make another one.)

This is just a preview of the current set I made, mostly positive class ones. (The preview has the backgrounds, the actual .dmis don't, so it won't be problematic.)

  • Quickness
  • Castling
  • Charge Mind
  • Wraithguard
  • Invoking
  • Immobilized
  • High Speed Casting
  • No Items

Once I figure out more of the ones that don't have icons, I'll start doing those.

Now that we have face icon states back, can the filesize limit be raised a bit?

Not sure what a good one would be, maybe 400-500kb?

  IT RAN AWAY
Posted by: Chaos - 01-20-2015, 01:51 PM - Forum: Bug Reports - Replies (1)

Somehow, during the course of me getting some shut eye, my Shopkeeper disappeared. It had an IRL day's worth of time on it, and now for some reason, all that time is gone. No, It's not in my inventory or anything, and nothing I put in it is back in my inventory.

If needed, I can inform you (Dev) of the contents.

  Single Shot vs Multi-Shot
Posted by: Rendar - 01-20-2015, 11:02 AM - Forum: Balance Fu - Replies (13)

Okay, let me preface this with the fact that I'm not exactly using precise numbers for the multi-shot guns, but bear with me with numbers I have seen in use before. Thanks.

Glaring Red Eyed Person: Scoped Rifle (15 Power)
Hit: 203.72%
Dmg: 15
Crit: 94%
Glaring Red Eyed Person says "Bang."
Critical Hit! Glaring Red Eyed Person attacks Sia Malik with Scoped Rifle and hits them!
Sia Malik takes 507 Pierce damage.
Sia Malik takes 12 Null damage.
The battle has ended.

This is a 15 power Sniper Rifle with 40 WIL and 71 LUC.

How did I do this? With 20 momentum total

Charge WEapon, Charge Weapon, Charge Weapon, , Assault Order, Headshot.

3, 7, 10, 13, 16, 20.

(1 turn, 1 turn, 2 turn, 2 turn, 3 turn, 3 turn. )
That is 500 damage with a critical.

2.5x Damage, then 1.75x damage on a crit, +55 or so damage from my assault order.

Twenty Momentum with a very specific self set up, with 1 shot that .can. and will be reflected via a spirit mirror ( Which hopefully gets nerfed soon ).

For the same amount of momentum, in much fewer turns, an akimbo gunner can do a lot more.

Let's assume they have someone in range, and are a kensei. Simply because it and ghost are the best classes for the akimbo shooter.

Let's assume the gunner does 24 damage with each gun, I've seen it in action or 22. Let's go with 22 though for posterities sake.

3 M, 6 M, 10 M

Main, sub, Main(or sub)

18 shots total. 22 damage per shot that ignores all defense. 18*22=396.

Let's add in null shell damage of 6 each is 108 damage. Not including any damage from material type < which should proc alot > that's 504 damage.

Oh, look at that. 1 turn, and half the momentum and it's already dealing .more. damage. Mind you. This is without any crits being dealt. < The damage per shot is more about 19 per, but the crits should be frequent enough to counteract and balance it. >

That gives them more chances to proc Spark Drive in a single turn, ignoring spirit mirrors, as well as just outright dealing more damage. As MG/Not Duelst that can still get 16 shots in while moving away 4 squares, which will make them pretty much always better.

In short? MULTI SHOT GUNS DEAL WAY TO MUCH DAMAGE and need a nerf, or Single-Shot guns need a buff because I deal 61 damage on a not-crit with my rifle, compared to someone shooting 6 times, and even with 10 power on their guns, if they have a damage shell or a damage ore type on them, they will almost always do more damage.

With 58 WIL, and 54 SKI, and a 7 power Autopistol Dual WIeld, let's figure out DPS.

58/4 and 54/2
14.5 and 27
3 and 6
that's 16 damage per shot Let's add on 6 DPS for null shell < or any shell really. Doesn't have to be any but Null gives most unresistable damage.

396+ whatever shell bonuses trigger, or if they're a mage, they can get some SWEET +10 damage per shot from augment.

STILL A RELEVANT THREAD TO BALANCE PURPOSES.

  Request: Rustic Narcus/Excelgraph
Posted by: Tsundere - 01-20-2015, 04:54 AM - Forum: laplaceNET - No Replies

From: apostle@l-net.grm

Hello.

I have two somewhat specific requests--I would like either a rustic-form of the dragon sword, Narcus, or a rustic tome belonging to the Excel line.
I'm willing to pay quite a bit, so name your price or anything that you may wish in return. I am also willing to make trades.

Auxiliary requests would simply be cursed versions of either of these items.

Please post offers or anything related in response to this. A quick synopsis of the object's condition would be appreciated.

POST-SCRIPT CLARIFICATION:
The tome was also to be of the rustic sort. Sorry about that.
