Kip up |

Kip up is the bread and butter of martial artist, basically making you immune to all the annoying knockdowns that most other classes seem to have. Thus making it easy to take something like verglas for a subclass for the free stats and kip up itself.
My suggestion is to simply make it mainclass only, You gotta show real dedication if you want all that free KD immunity.

Supremely Not-So-Magical Spelledge scalings |

Welp, here I am to try and reason about something I noticed lately with the Spelledge weapons. Some, if not most of them are quite super good for people who are going to spam cinders. It both grants them Fire ATK and a portion of SWA, which is just enhanced by Two-Handed and those mamba-jambas. And power wise, the ones who stomp over the others, power-wise, are exactly the ones which can be Two-Handed. They hardly took a hit from the nerf.
There's no further way to be a good spellblade with this specific weapon lines, while the apparent 'role' of them since Pre-GR were to make you able to use spells if your damage with them was high enough, while being outmatched by tomes, due to how they work. (If you don't use a tome, it only uses half of your SWA in the spell's power, and those weapons are not exception from it.)
So! Not all weapons benefit from Two-Handed talent, nor any of those benefit spellcasting different elements.
I have two small suggestions to deal with this:
1- Make all scalings be less STR and more WIL, so the WIL part can give you more Elemental ATK in other parameters. Like for example:
Quote:- 30% STR/70% WIL (Magical Star [Sword])
- 45% STR/55% WIL (Magical Sun [Axe]) I may be contradicting myself, but Axes are STR-based anyway.
- 20% STR/80% WIL (Magical Moon [Spear])
- 45% SKI/55% WIL (Magical Meteor [Bow])
- 35% STR/70% WIL (Magical Comet [Fist]) I remember Fists having 105% on their total scaling by default, was probably to compensate the lack of extra power they get.
- 45% SKI/55% WIL (Magical Nova [Gun])
- 30% GUI/70% WIL (Magical Photon [Dagger])
2- Leave all the scalings like they are, but make a shared weapon potential that allows them for a broader Elemental use, something I have in mind is this:
Quote:"Shared Potential (Name) - Substitutes the STR/SKI/GUI scaling of this weapon for your highest Elemental ATK's stat. (Exceptions: Water/Earth/Darkness, because those elements belong to evil witches, not magical girls!)"
(i.e So if Wind is your highest Elemental ATK, it substitutes STR for CEL, when calculating SWA.)
My personal favorite of those, is being the 'higher WIL scaling' part, because well, WIL already gives Elemental ATK to everything, so just make those weapons benefit more from it. And this may put the Magical series under a better situation than what they are now, at least when used for spellcasting. Tomes are outmatching them a little too far, now that their scalings took a hit from 120% to 100%.

Protection from Arrows |

Protection from arrows seems to provide way too much evade against bow type weapons, this paired with heavy evade armor and unarmored prowess, all available within the same class, seem to wall out archers entirely, while I do believe that the point of the skill is to serve as a counter-tool against archers, it ends up driving bow hit into the negatives almost all of the time, this skill can already be paired up with Eviter to serve as insane utility vs archers.
Here's what I think, because negative hit isn't fun to fight, I think that protection from arrows should be changed to crit evade instead of evade, +40 crit evade as opposed to +40 evade will make an archer's life not more than likely facing the hardest counter in the game.

Lore Questions: October & November (2017) |

This is a new topic for Lore Questions because the old one was about 26 pages. (No, I will never stop copying this part.) The format is roughly the same, but some guidelines;
1) Try and format your questions appropriately. As in, make it easy to read and answer.
2) Try and limit the number of questions you ask per thread. I don't mind answering them, but don't get crazy and ask me 20 things, especially if they require detailed answers.
3) Try to avoid asking extremely specific questions, such as 'Did anyone ever die of food poisoning in Cellsvich?'. Answering these is difficult, because not everything is set in stone, so giving a definitive answer on it not only restricts me in the future, but it might influence other players' character concepts that involve it.
That said, if you have any questions, you can post them in this thread! I will post answers at the end of the month/start of the next one.
Thanks! (And yes, if you had questions from the previous topic that I didn't answer before I closed it, you can post them here, but remember the formatting guideline.)

Sky Hike |

Skyhigh is a neat idea, but it's rarely used, as other things do it's job better, such as Rising Tide. Lantern Bearers rarely use their actual spears as well, so I'm just suggesting something to make it a bit more interesting.
Ashe has a skill called Sky Hook which we discover in the Kinu VS Ashe fight, that pulls foes down and knocks them down. Simply put, my suggestion is to give Skyhigh a bit of range, but Skyhigh itself only works on opponents in one range and are not airborne.
If you target an Airborne opponent, it turns into Sky Hook. Simple!
I believe this would be neat and make for cool combos, and give players access to a rather simple, but fun skill, much like how we got Solar Lance.
(And yes, I'm aware Typhurs knockdown effect was added in mind to combo with this - but even so, Skyhigh sees very little use, as other things can provide)
So yeah.

It'd be nice if there could be a little eye-icon in the top right of your screen while you're either in a battle or observing one, and when you interact with this eye, in one fashion or another, the list of people currently in the fight (Grandupper hides people for a bit after all) and those currently observing, are revealed.
What would the benefit be? Well, a few things. First of all, sometimes you're trying to talk to someone outside of a fight, but are watching the fight, and aren't sure if they can read what you'll have typed. Clicking the eye, you'll know what to do.
If you're in a dungeon, and someone talks to you wanting to join and you take a moment too long to respond, you'll be able to press the eye and it will tell you if they'll still hear you or not.
Just an idea.
