  [2.54b] Player House Exist/Random Trees

Sometimes the EXIT of a Player Housing will just randomly teleport to the corner of the house, even if you didnt put it there initially.

Theres literally nothing else. You can go in there and move them back.

Oh, and also sometimes random bits of forest will just appear in the house for undisclosed amount of times, again no idea how or what but I do know this has been a thing for a LONG while now so.

Yeah, thats it.

Theres nothing else on how to force it to happen.

  Death Touch Bug?

I've been using Death Touch lately and I've noticed that it does a massive amount of both Dark and Ice, when it is supposed to use my elemental attack for each and split it.

For reference, I have 70 Ice attack and 45 Dark attack, with 80 SWA on my weapon, yet the damage comes out to 143 Ice 143 Dark, which seems to be doing some kind of wonky math.

  [2.54b] Preach verb improperly recorded in chat log

Hello,

This is quite a simple bug report.

Using the "preach" verb obtained from the trait "preacher" records as an ordinary "say" in chat logs.




To reproduce this bug:

Logon as a character.

Obtain the "preacher" trait, if not already owned.

Issue the following chat commands.

"say ABC Said"

"preach ABC Preached"

Observe that in the chat window, it will differentiate the two, as "said" vs "preached"

Download chat logs.  (Help button -> download chat logs)

Observe in chat logs that both entries are marked as say.

  Fir visual fix

Not so much a bug, but the fir explosion from having nerhaven on you only creates a line of explosion tiles in front of the fireball.

It would be nice if it visually covered the 3-size diamond it covers, and perhaps mentioning the explosion size in the description so people don't have to figure that out by trial and error

  [2.54b] eternal flame visual only appears when you switch flame

LB players know what I'm talking about here, this issue has existed for as long as I can remember

1: Unlock the class, you grab eternal flame, and use a flame skill like salamander. If you are not MC, use eternal flame
2: Switch flames, see the visual change.
3: Start a new battle. If not MC, use eternal flame
4: Notice that there is no visual effect around you, but you still get the bonuses and raging light
5: Swap from salamander to another flame like fenri
6: Notice the visual changes to the new one

In conclusion, it seems that the visual portion of eternal flame is not updated on round start (if MC) or on use of the skill (if not MC), resulting in some confusion, especially since the non-mc version does not actually tell you what the buff gives in its description. Swapping to a different flame then back to the original one does work.

And if you use a new flame spell before using eternal flame as non-MC it WILL show the new visual when you use eternal flame.

Request DetailsInterested in play a character with the Imperial Navy Rank of Captain, to command her own ship and hunt down pirates.

Reason why you are making this request:
Wanting to host Naval events and things at sea, as well as interact with the Sigrogana Guard and Army forces. There isn't much going on at sea in SL2, so I feel like this would be a welcome addition.

Roleplay & Lore supporting your request:
One of the major towns of the Empire is a port town, and the nation itself has an implied heavy focus on law, order, and military. Having official Naval forces to protect port towns, trade routes, and hunt down pirates and criminals at sea makes sense. The relatively high rank of captain would give this character the means to organize outings for adventurers to participate in, such as hunting sea monsters and bounties, and have a ship under her disposal for such hostings.


(Additional) Obvious Difficulties:
I can imagine some potential friction with other characters who may have rolls in the military. But I also understand the navy is a rather niche- if not totally barren group anyway. I believe the military forces in the Empire have no actual authority over guard or civilian matters, and are expressly given a badge and supplies to do the Empire's bidding, which is what I'm after. I also can imagine a potential difficulty in a character having any kind of authority within a group that exists from official SL2 Lore, being that someone might interpret orders or decrees by this character as somehow reflecting the IC stance of the entire organization, and related lore. However, I understand this would merely be an individual with a rank, and have no intention of trying to pass anything she says or does as the official stance of any group, though I would not seek to have her act outside the scope of what would be expected of a military character, especially one that has the harsh regulations of an official military force.

So, Pinball doesn't seem to provide the extra hit it offers. I'm unsure if thats an intended change with the description not being updated or not. I made sure to do the hits from the sides to avoid GUI and Smite bonus.

Did the test with two different weapons.

Reason why you are making this request (if applicable) - To fit with the type of Doriad concept I have in mind, if that's at all possible
Roleplay & Lore supporting your request - I'm brand new here so I can't really give much outside of my thought from reading up on the race and browsing the wiki and the various regions. But I was hoping to make a sickly short Doriad from the mountainous regions of Egqyn where the Corbie prefer to live. Since a Doriad is born from a tree as if they're emerging out of it, I thought the combination of the timberline halting the growth of the trees could be a neat concept as I assume the winds/etc are harsher in the regions the Corbie live. Along with the lack of carbon to nurture, and of course the lack of quality soil due to less decaying matter.


It's also a side note, but I thought it could be an interesting enough hook to have a Doriad that grew in these conditions to be good aligned especially towards Corbi. Because of unknowing Corbie eating mint leaves in the area, and adding just enough decaying matter into the soil to enable the trees to survive. Though that's of course just me assuming the bird people like things like mint leaves, because I've always known Starlings and few other birds to enjoy it. This is of course not really tied to the characters height, but I figured sharing my idea for the character in full might help.

Request Details -  I would like to play a character which has red skin, naturally it goes that this is because the playby I have chosen has red skin.

Reason why you are making this request (if applicable) - Although I think on the more acceptable end of requests, I would like to make sure I am not making an impossible request before spawning my character in. I am fully aware that skin color of another type is non-standard, and that while it is only really cosmetic in effect, it would still be a hassle if I was a walking lore break. Regardless, I believe there might be a way for it to be possible. If my reasoning is shallow, it is due to my shallow understanding of lore, despite this I do not think my simple reasoning would be too problematic and unfeasible. Before I elaborate on it, I'll state that I am making this request purely out of RP reasons, that being me wishing to RP with this certain playby, and the approval of this requests has no other strings attached (such as unique lore, special powers, extraordinary circumstances, etc) other than being able to exist with red skin.

Roleplay & Lore supporting your request - Hestia would be a Homunculi of the Salamandra type. As Homunculi are artificially made beings, there is more room to allow for individual differences than natural races which reproduce more or less the same features. Specifically Salamandras are made using Nayrif's blood, adding the element of fire to the equation. Aesthetically, appearing red could naturally fit in line with an existence born out of divine fire god remnants... but to elaborate on a scenario where this could happen: imagine the creator of that being, perhaps they went mad and tried to create something above their capabilities. The red skin could be a mark of deformation, permanent damage/scars etched onto the skin of the Salamandra due to a sloppy job by the alchemist. Otherwise, a more responsible (but still ethically questionable) alchemist could be experimenting with the different qualities he could bring about through the divine ingredient's influence. This wouldn't necessarily mean something cosmetic as red skin would be the goal, but it could be one of many results in a trial and error experiment series. A life brought aside to gather knowledge, but tossed aside after that. I personally find this more preferable as an RP backstory, and would be really fun to RP with as it gives substance and meaning to the red skin beyond "red skin funy and cool". Anyways yes I am out of reasons as I really don't know that much about lore, but I hope you find my logic and scenarios mature and acceptable enough to... be accepted! I await your decisions, SL2 GM gamers.
